Storytelling is the way we learn naturally and more effectively because it conveys emotions as well as information. There is so much information available on any topic but only a certain amount tends to stick in our brains and most just disappears due to informational overload.
When we hear a story about a person dealing with chronic pain or tell our own story, more information is retained and available to be used in our daily lives. Stories engage us more, become more personal, and evoke empathy and emotions. Stories are one of the best ways to help people understand themselves and each other.
